LIGHT UP THE STARS
Light Up The Stars! (LUTS) is the Roosevelt Drama Department’s annual fundraiser. Originally begun in 1987 to literally “light up the stars” and raise money to buy new lights for the auditorium, the event now raises money to support all aspects of the theater program at RHS. Each October drama supporters come together for an evening of fun and entertainment, and together we raise money to help buy needed equipment (lights, mikes, keyboards), help with costumes for all our productions (Drama Fest, Winter Production and Spring Musical), and help subsidize Book-It and the Seattle Rep Artist In Residency programs. The evening is quite an event, with entertainment from students and alumni, a silent and live auction, as well as dinner and dessert. LUTS is scheduled for Saturday, November 3, 2007 at St. Demetrios Church in Montlake.
