 Jason Collins |
Jason Collins has been working professionally in the Puget Sound Region ever since he attended Roosevelt High School, appearing on Stages at The Group Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company, Village Theatre, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Tacoma Actors Guild, The Seattle Repertory Theatre, and A Contemporary Theatre. Collins has been fortunate enough to play a huge diversity of roles from Finn; the young, Irish traveler in Into The West, at Seattle Children’s Theatre, to Silvius in As You Like It for The Seattle Shakespeare Company, to Seymour in Little Shop Of Horrors at Village Theater. In addition to live theatre, Collins also works as a voice talent for various local production companies and can be seen as Ralph Peed in the mad-cap independent film Gory, Gory Hallelujah. Collins recently originated the role of Walter Paisley in the new, “Beatnik Musical,” Bucket Of Blood for Ethereal Mutt LTD., and starred as Sean in the world premier of The Wedding Banquet. |
Andrew Davison (RHS '06) is currently a fourth-year student at Western Washington University, pursuing two degrees in Theatre (acting) and Japanese Language. He was most recently seen in the Bellingham Theatre Guild's production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, playing the role of John Japsper. Currently, he is in rehearsals for WWU's annual touring show, whose destinations this year include New York City, London, and Kobe, Japan. When not swamped with performances and classes, he manages two theatre-related websites: The Roosevelt High School Drama website (yes, this very one!) and the Washington State Thespian Society's website (http://www.washingtonthespians.org/). |

Devin Field, an RHS ’08 Alum is currently a Sophomore in the BFA Writing for Film and Television program at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. He is also performing as a stand-up comic as well as being a cast member of Second Nature, USC's premiere long form improvisational comedy troupe. This fall he will be working as an intern at the Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. |
Megan Sanborn Jones (graduated 1990) received her MA from Brigham Young University in 1997 and her PhD from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2003. She currently works as the head of the Theatre Critical Studies Program in the Theatre and Media Arts Department at Brigham Young University. She teaches theatre history, dramatic literature, and supervises the graduate program. Her critical work has been presented at national conferences, and published in Theatre Journal, The State of the Arts, and Journal of Utah Academy. While she has performed some since high school (Guys and Dolls at BYU, The Music Man at Sundance Summer Theatre, Seven Brides at Jackson Hole Theatre), she has spent most of her time directing and choreographing. Credits include Troilus and Cressida at Crisis Point Theatre, Angels in America: Peristroika at the Loring Playhouse, 12 Bloody Marys at the Minneapolis Fringe Festival, Nunsense Two at Provo Theatre Company, and Crazy for You and The Beggar's Opera at BYU. |

Ryah Nixon ( RHS '05)- Ryah recently completed her studies at Carnegie Mellon University, where she earned a BFA in Musical Theatre. She is currently living in New York City, where she is starting rehearsals for a brand new musical by the Tony Nominated Production team of the Broadway hit "Rock of Ages", titled "Fat Camp". This winter she will be returning home for the holiday season to play the Judy Garland role in "Meet Me in St. Louis" at the Village Theatre (where she will be joined by fellow Roosevelt alum John Scott, playing her older brother!) |
Pam (Bailey) Nolte (RHS '72) is a founding member of Seattle's Taproot Theatre Company ('76.) Recent TTC roles include Hannah in The Spitfire Grill, Reba in The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Trish in Wonderful Tennessee and Mary Pendarves in Joyful Noise. Earlier favorites include the roles of Lily in Ah Wilderness! Susy in Wait Until Dark, Mrs. Clandon in You Never Can Tell, Sarah in J.B. and Sally in Tally's Folly. Musical highlights from the past include Susan in Boomers, The Momma in Opal, three productions with three different roles in Godspell, and Aldonza in The Man of La Mancha. In addition to her stage work, Pam is also active locally in commercial and voice work. |

Sarah Schenkkan is a junior in the BFA Musical Theatre program, in the theatre conservatory at the University of Miami. She was most recently seen in the Jerry Herman Ring Theatre's main stage productions of THE WINTER'S TALE (Perdita) and HELLO, DOLLY (Minnie Fay) at UM. This summer, she worked as an assistant to the upcoming musical theatre composer Lance Horne, assisted casting agent Michael Cassara on the New York Musical Theatre Festival, and was also selected to be a member of the Core Company at the prestigious residency program The Orchard Project, run through The Exchange Theatre in New York City. Locally, Sarah has also been heard in radio commercials and as recurring leads/supporting leads in radio dramas through Jim French's Imagination Theatre in Kirkland. She is currently in Miami awaiting the start of the new semester and looking forward to a great year! |
